- Outlook For Mac 2011 Folder Contains Excess Whitespace Failure
I received this error message: Folder contains excess whitespace (failure)
I search for an answer and did not find a solution. It tried again, and came across this. It worked
I went to the outlook, on my mac, and renamed the folder producing the error. I removed the two spaces between two words, and it worked. I hope this helps.
Microsoft on Wednesday rolled out updates for the 2008 and 2011 versions of Office for Mac, bringing a security patch that protects against malware as well as improvements to Outlook. This is one of my favorite Outlook features and it works with all versions of Outlook and with all Outlook folders. It also works with any application that accepts paste, not just Excel. Create a view that contains the fields you need, then copy the rows and paste into any application that accepts paste.
Folder contains excess whitespace: Certain IMAP systems (imap.googlemail.com, etc.) do not allow folders to contain duplicate whitespace characters. For example, trying to create a folder called 'A B' (with two spaces between 'A' and 'B') may result in this error.May 21, 2020
